3 Big MISTAKES i did during my first 2years of MARKETING:
1)Lack of Knowledge about the products
2)Way of Presentations
3)Replying to unexpected questions
Lack of knowledge about the Products:
The company that i was working had 45 products including healthcare,safety which are very important and we as a marketer will have lot of risks in terms of products reactions,side effects.In order to answer all the questions of a consumer,we need to have complete knowledge about the products. I did not had complete knowledge and information about the products.
Way of Presentation:
The other mistake that i did was the same presentation pattern for all consumers.We had different kind of people like farmers,students,officials as our consumers ,we followed the same presentation to all these people.Students never understood the complex terms in our presentation.We just specified its benefits ,we never tried to make them understand the contents of the products,its importance in long-term.these silly mistakes made lot of consumers unhappy about our product.We failed to get the positive response about the products.
presentation should be done according to the mindset ,knowledge of the people whom we are approaching.
Replying to unexpected questions:
I was not aware of how to reply to the unexpected questions.Once i was presenting our health care products to village people.The product was related to sugar patients.Suddenly from one of them i got a one very interesting question!!!!the question was WHO INCLUDED SWEET IN SUGARS!!!??
i did not had any kind of answer for this question.I did not spoke as well. I think if i had given them some answer they would have convinced with our products.I failed there as well.
we should be ready to answer any kind if questions that may come without any notice.These kind of questions will test us how we are capable to reply to the unexpected situations.
